The night's light

The night is dark, wet and cold
You try to find something to hold
The full moon rises on the night sky
For no reason you become shy

Around you, just silence and dark
On your arm appears a red mark
Scared, you start running away
Don't know where to go, what to say

Out of nowhere an owl appears
Your mind is now full of fears
She stares with scary, glowing eyes
Appearing spooky, but wise

Terrified you try to run again
But it all seems to be in vane
The owl appears everywhere
Always after you, here or there

Like she enters your soul, reads your mind
Who knows what she will find?
Trapped in the darkness of the night
You see the light, bright and white…
